Sci-Fi and military tech junkies, prepare to drool as IGN Editor Scott Lowe looks at the the new Lumus “Personal Display” glasses at CES 2012. Essentially a personal HUD (heads up display), these prototype glasses show information and images across the lenses without obstructing the user’s view. The potential applications are endless, so fingers crossed we’ll be getting our own personal DBZ style scouters in the next few years. Finally, another reason to yell “IT’S OVER 9000!” Head over to IGN for more CES tech reveals: www.ign.com Subscribe to IGN’s channel for reviews, news, and all things gaming:www.youtube.com

What are those game rooms where I think it is a bunch of glass and the whole room is filled with it, and you can play the video game like you are really there? Does anyone know the name of that virtual game room?

I have a really cool idea for a zombies game and want your opinion on it.
What if you went to Gamestop and bought a new video game console and game. it consisted of glasses and (fake) knife and a (fake)gun. you put charge the battery powered glasses up and put them on and press the power button. all of sudden zombies start appearing in your living room, outside and in the hallways. These glasses detect depth and objects and place virtual CGI zombies in whenever you are, so it looks like your house has been taken over by zombies. you run around shooting zombies, guns appear on the wall, and mystery boxes appear on the ground in places, a little point thing appears on the side of your glasses lens to tell you how much points you have. now you can run around the neighbourhood being chased by virtual zombies. Sure you’ll look like an idiot, but boy wouldn’t it be fun? When you look at your ordinary electronic pistol your holding in your hand with glasses on it looks like whatever gun you are holding throuhg the glasses (eg. ray gun) anyway i just hitnk this could be really cool, almost like Nazi ZOmbies but in your own home, and i definetly believe it is possible, with the technology we have today like the xbox kinect and the Wii it is totally possibly to have something like this. Please answer with your thoughts about my idea and also any ideas of something you think would be a cool zombies game thanks.

i saw these video glasses at the sharper image, and i was curios if there is any way i could plug those into a camera, then put the camera on something at an angle behind me, so when i turn on the glasses, i could see in third person like a video game?
