How can I convert a video File into a 3D format that can be seen with the new 3D Glasses?
ByI would like a totally free software that can convert video files (preferably .mp4′s) to a video that can look 3D with the new 3D glasses they give you for the newer 3D movies (like Avatar). Or if it just makes it so you can make it 3D with the regular red and blue eyepiece ones thats fine.

You can’t convert a 2D movie to a 3D one, at least not properly. There are some techniques that attempt to simulate 3D, but I doubt that they are very effective.
A real 3D (stereoscopic) replicates the way human vision sees depth. Instead of our two eyes, they use two cameras (or some split optics on one camera) to provide a left and right eye view of the scene. The key is parallax, the difference in view from two angles.
The glasses for 3D TV are active-shutters, and are expensive. Theaters use inexpensive polarized glasses and polarized projectors (Real3D) or narrow-band color filters (Dolby 3D) to achieve left-right eye separation.
The old red/blue glasses are a pretty crude technique called anaglyphic stereo. Color quality really suffers with those.
