CES 2012 – Lumus Personal Display Glasses Make HUDs a Reality
BySci-Fi and military tech junkies, prepare to drool as IGN Editor Scott Lowe looks at the the new Lumus “Personal Display” glasses at CES 2012. Essentially a personal HUD (heads up display), these prototype glasses show information and images across the lenses without obstructing the user’s view. The potential applications are endless, so fingers crossed we’ll be getting our own personal DBZ style scouters in the next few years. Finally, another reason to yell “IT’S OVER 9000!” Head over to IGN for more CES tech reveals: www.ign.com Subscribe to IGN’s channel for reviews, news, and all things gaming:www.youtube.com

@FroggyMasterMajora yeah, but you don’t have to lay down or have a odd height table to use it, also its full color xD just imagine compass at the top and a GPS map in the bottom Left or right, or heck a small square GPS box with a compass on top of that can the virtal boy do that, and lastly i don’t think this is just meant for nerds xD

@IGNentertainment What? People would not be aloud to use them while driving! Just the same as you are not aloud to operate mobile phone’s while driving. My point is why waste technology with such potential on games when there are many other gadgets such as tablets, consoles, handheld etc. That can do it much better and cheaper?
